Josh MargolisFounder of DAF
Jan Domantay is the founder and Managing Director of the firm. Jan graduated at Monash University in 2007 from his double degrees in Science (major in Psychology) and Law and was admitted to practice in 2008. Jan is passionate about solving client’s challenges, particularly in business, property and estate planning. He has a strong background in litigation in all levels of courts including VCAT, Magistrates, County and Supreme Courts. In his spare time, Jan loves travelling with his young family and is an avid follower of all things sports, particularly the NBA, UFC and AFL (massive Hawthorn Hawks fan).

As one of the owners of Domantay Legal, Dwayne is the General Manager who adds extensive experience in business advisory and development, along with property related matters. Having completed his MBA, he thrives in all things business and SMEs. He takes a wholesome approach to clients and their respective businesses, ensuring family and assets are paramount in receiving protection. Outside the office life, Dwayne enjoys keeping fit with martial arts, as well as enjoying family holidays with his young family.

Business Development Manager John Domantay also graduated at Monash University with double degrees in Biomedical Science and Law in 2002. He completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2004. John has extensive experience in the banking and finance industry in both commercial and private lending. He has been a consultant for sole traders and larger business alike, predominantly working within the health industry. When John is away from the office, he enjoys the outdoors with his young family.

Jeff is the General Manager of Asia for Domantay Legal. Jeff recently completed his masters in Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) at Peking University. Since 2003, Jeff has devoted his life to the Financial Industry in the Asian market and joined Domantay Legal in June 2020. He is responsible for the expansion and growth in the Asian market, collaborating with large Asian institutions. Jeff focuses on long-term growth for the Domantay Legal group in finance and investment banking, partnering and influencing the Asian sector with Australian flavour. He works hard and meticulously, but always remains focused on his young family whom he looks forward to travelling with when the opportunity presents.

Dickson completed his Law (honours) degree from Monash University and Product Management course from General Assembly.
He enjoys practising in personal affairs, estates and business law. He also loves learning new things especially technology and investments related. Dickson can communicate with clients in Mandarin, Malay and Cantonese. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors and volunteers in multiple capacities at his church.

Cindy is a lawyer who enjoys the practice of criminal law and litigation. Cindy initially joined Domantay Legal as an intern and gained a wide range of experience in Commercial law and regularly advises clients on leasing matters. Cindy aims to achieve optimal negotiated, mediated or litigated outcomes for her clients and takes pride in her ‘user friendly’ approach and her ability to distil complexities into simplicity.
Cindy is also a published artist who enjoys painting live portraits, with a few of her pieces issued in an international book series. She has also been practising Muay Thai since the age of 17 and has a high regard for the fitness industry.

Michelle is a solicitor within our Corporate and Commercial Team. Having graduated with a double degree in Commerce (majoring in Human Resource Management) and Law, Michelle is focused on providing high-level and tailored legal and commercial solutions to her clients and is committed to establishing longstanding professional relationships based on trust.Michelle’s previous experience including corporate/commercial, estate planning, property,intellectual property and migration law, which provides her with a unique and broad skillset to deliver holistic advice to her clients, and their individual circumstances.
Outside of work Michelle enjoys indulging in Melbourne’s culinary delights, playing sports and exploring new cultures.

Jasmine is a lawyer who enjoys all things litigation. Jasmine joined the firm with previous experience in insurance and personal injuries and has now broadened her experience to include disputes in all areas of law. Peter Falconer is a Senior Legal Principal Consultant who has been a highly regarded lawyer for 40 years, helping businesses and individuals in various aspects of law. He is renowned for being very approachable, with a sharp mind and praised for his practical approach in achieving client goals. Peter keeps himself busy in the practice areas of family law, Part IV applications and business law. Outside of practising law, Peter enjoys a good drop of gin and travelling with his wife.

Tim Whitehead is one of Domantay Legal’s Principal Consultants and he was admitted to practice in 1997 after completing degrees in Law and Arts from the University of Melbourne. He is an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation since 2008. Tim has 22 years’ experience in dealing with all types of legal disputes including business and partnership disputes, contracts, franchising, domestic building, employment and debt recovery. Every time he deals with a dispute, Tim aims to get you a favourable result as efficiently as possible, so that you can go back to running your business and focusing on the things that you are passionate about.
In his spare time, Tim enjoys spending time with his family, running, cooking, and watching his sons play sport.

Pana graduated from the University of Melbourne with a Bachelor of Laws.
Early in her career she worked in the Office of the Victorian Government Solicitor and then the Australian Government Solicitor’s Office. From there she entered private practice and has for the most part since 1992 been a principal of her own firm.
Her main areas commercial law, contractual disputes, commercial leasing, family law (including intervention order applications), Wills and Probate and criminal law. She practices in all jurisdictions and appears before the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, Magistrates’, County and Supreme Courts as well as the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.
She is fluent in the Greek language and was formerly a teacher of Greek.
Pana has a particular interest in Australian indigenous art and enjoys travelling and gardening.

Through her experience, Sam brings brings great knowledge in managing client’s accounts and the running of the firm. In her spare time, Sam enjoys walking on the beach and winding down with a glass of wine in the company of her family and friends.

Ana took up accounting to pursue her career like her mother did.
